During the maintenance of EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) and metro trains, the bare copper grounding wires often show obvious corrosion of the copper wire. The grounding wires with silicone rubber coating are not suitable in many cases due to their poor flexibility. Therefore, we have developed a new type of grounding wire. This new type of grounding wire not only has good flexibility but also is waterproof and corrosion-resistant. At the same time, it solves the problem that the bare copper grounding wire is prone to breakage when installed with a small bending radius. This grounding wire is completely covered with a kind of polymer composite material on the surface of the bare copper wire and terminal. This composite material has good flexibility, weather resistance, and low-temperature resistance. It has a good waterproof and corrosion-resistant effect on the grounding wire and can better protect the copper braided wire inside the grounding wire from corrosion by water vapor during train operation or train cleaning.
